XR4I 2.8 tuning?
Can anyone help on tuning on these engines.
Not after mega power but just was it to keep up with moden cars a little better.
Maybe it just wants a clean clean out as such?
Im based Cambridgeshire/Norfolk if anyone can help or tell me where to take it.
Thanks.

You have a few choices but all will cost a fair bit if you want a significant increase in power
1) conventional tuning, cams, headwork, inlet, exhaust and some way of setting the fuelling to suit.
2) turbo charge what you have
3) Scorpio Cosworth V6 conversions, V8 or Cossie. Duratec etc.
You could start by getting a power run done on a dyno and see what you have compared to what it is supposed to have.

Ideally you need someone thats familiar with K-jetronic fuel injection to tune it.
They only had 150 hp when new
There's a Maha dyno in Wisbech ran by a Father & Son team called Maxtreme, they do a lot of remaps on newer stuff - whether they know anything about older stuff like the XR4i might be worth asking. https://www.facebook.com/Maxtremetuning/
