s1 rs turbo on ebay c reg with what look like 2 bolt top mounts!! didn't they stop in 82/83 ??

Yes mate they stopped then all the S1s had one nut on top of the strut holding it in that is a ringer

Guess he doesn't realise you can't plonk your registration on another car and claim it to be an S1. Not even an S1 shell!! Basically a look-a-like / accidental ringer.

Looks nice but it's not genuine, all S1 RS Turbos should have the single bolt strut top.

It does look a nice car though. Didnt the S1s have tinted windows too. They look a clear in the pics.

This car was for sale on eBay about 4 years ago and it was built up from an rs1600i it had diamond rs 7s on it back then

Im sure that was a red one?

The car in the pic is not a 16i shell anyway, its most likely an xr3/3i shell

either way its more of a ringer than quasimodo
