Default fiestas, best place for advice?

I'm looking to replace the fiesta now so obviously I'm going to be looking for advice, forums, Facebook, etc to see what's out there for my budget and what to look out for problem wise

In the past it's been a bit hit and miss to find a forum that does what you want so other than of, where else would you recommend I look?

I thought I'd get one in there! (wonder if I broke any rules? Wasn't intentional if I did)

Are you really asking on a Ford forum, what forum would be the best to use, to get info on a ford?

Yes, because of has lots of info about cossies and rsturbos if I wanted to look up stuff on those I'd browse here
If I were thinking of buying an escos I'd go to the Eco's forum to see what was what
Do doing some research about which forums specialise in fiestas means that I can browse them rather than asking 59 different questions that may or may not get an answer here

I all know that most car forums are split between the sporty versions and the more mundane versions so I'm going for the buying version and I might be able to get a newer motor for my money if I stick to a more basic model rather than one with all the bells and whistles
May be some colours aren't that fetching so they may be cheaper, for example silver foci were seeking at the auction for Ł5k yet I bought a blue one for Ł3k, which was exactly the same Ghia spec just flat blue rather than metallic silver

This is the sort of stuff car nerds know on specialised forum s rather than car nerd on the sporty forum

Well for 1500 i'd look at a very nice mk5 zetec s, you can probably get one with a puma lump for that wedge, just make sure its solid and not rusty (rear arches are really prone!), unless your after really good mpg figues which in that case I'd avoid.

For Ł2k I'd be looking at mk6s but its probably base models rather than a high spec tdci, although if you hunt I'm sure you could find something

Ł2.5k gets you mk6s with 1.6tdci's is the sort of car you're looking at.

Hope that's some sort of help

Something like this?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Ford...item2c85c5b345

Relatively low mileage, nice spec, full service history, T&T. Seems like quite a good buy to me.

I would say vast majority is DIY, unless its a light on the dash. Then its garage time.
