Right, performed a turbocharger change on the 530d, everything came apart and went back together fine, the turbo whistle has gone but it doesn't seem to be making any boost?? There is a plastic accumulator between the actuator and the boost solenoid, and I think I might have connected it the wrong way round? What does this thing do?

If you don't use them, it causes more strain on the solenoid as it would be under vacuum and boost at different stages. Rather than just boost.
