Default Svm850r r35 gtr v box results in finally got some race fuel out :)

well ive just got home from collecting my new car, I cant but help myself deliberating over the last 6 years or so and how my weekend/toy cars have progressed from the beginnings being a 470hp cosworth.

all I can say is if you've never been in one, my god as a driving experience they are genuinely mind blowing.
I have only run the lowest boost setting so far of 1 bar and honestly it feels as fast or faster than any other car ive driven, I will confirm with some vbox pulls in due coarse.
it is effortless to drive and the noise, oh my god the missus got a driveby vid but it hasn't come out its got that sound like the supercars have I am smitten with it lol

you can waft along at 40 mph and it will sit in 6th gear at 1500 rpm burbling silky smooth ! slow moving in traffic crawling along no judders, rattles nothing just like a standard modern car would, my only gripe is with r888 tyres all round 315/35/20 rears, 285/35/20 fronts it whines so bad tyre noise it sounds like its got a wheel bearing gone lol, but they are needed to be able to use all the power, I can imagine its gonna be quite violent at 1-6 - 1.8 bar lol

and when you want some fun just tap the paddle shift once puts it in manual and then away you go but even in manual it will still shift 20 rpm before hitting the limiter so it is never touched, ryan has genuinely mapped the car to perfection.

I bought the car from ryan Griffiths himself it was his own personal development car that he used to make the syvecs kit fit the gtrs.

has cruise control, electric seats, displays to monitor everything as standard then extras all monitored by the syvecs ecu, its like a playstation car lol
I was questioning myself if im going mad spending this amount of money on a car but as a machine its in another league to anything ive ever had.

and best of all the missus and kids can get in and they all love it
my girls

I must say, I've never been that sold on these, not really my cup of tea, but I bet it's a bloody missile. Definitely one of the most impressive cars around.

it is amazing at 1 bar how quick it is but also how little drama there is it just gets up and goes, and with the shifts so quick and no letting of the throttle you never stop accelerating its just seemless power, I think this pump fuel dyno plot on a dyno dynamics tells it all.

Looks amazing and I imagine that can embarrass ALOT of bikes! Can only imagine the acceleration that thing pumps out, pinned to the seat behaviour I would think!! Just going to wait for that guy rod to come along and tell you it's not fast until you've done a vmax event or something to prove it

it sure is, so much so that 1 bar was ample and I didn't even touch the boost controller, its only a flick of a switch on the steering wheel aswell

Incredible car! My mate had one with 640hp and it did a pretty effortless 10.9 at Santa pod road tyres etc, so imagine yours would do a 9 at the pod. He did get beat by a shonky old Capri with a v8 in it tho, as seen on 5th gear.

my car has reportedly done a 9.8 1/4 mile on a vbox tarmac run I think on an airfield but that was no doubt on ethanol on nigh on 1000 hp.

Not to keen on the colour (I wouldn't say no though) but the spec and the car it's self is awesome.

Glad you got what you are after scooby. Proper piece of modern engineering

I would say there will be alot of brown trouser moments in it, in the future. From yourself and from any passenger who has the balls to sit in an 850bhp GTR LOL

its a very rare colour for an r35, when you see the car in the flesh it seems like it changes colour with different angles of light.
I do like the colour but il be honest if it was shit brown id of bought it for the performance alone lmao

lol im with ya now mate

no doubt the stockers would get abit grumpy at 978 hp

I just found this on ebay, bearing in mind my motor has no head porting or cams so its stock dimensions just forged for strength, that's a lot of motor for Ł9k imo

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3510679273...84.m1423.l2649

with some bigger turbos they make 750 hp, 650 lbft so ive read and are still reliable at that on a stock motor

Did you pay 62k for it then?

I will stick with my poor mans performance car lol. Is there much room in the engine bay, will the engine be easy to work on.
