Sorry to be a pain PF'ers but i've hit a brick wall with my rebuild and need some advice where to go next.

My first issue is Fuelling.

I'm going to run bosch 403's (greys) along side a bosch 044 pump and the output is 5bar.

My question is, do i have to have to run a 5 bar fuel pressure regulator? or can i use the standard one?


My second question is, where can i get the exhaust trouser bolts from along side the bolts which attatch the turbo to the manifold? I've replaced them with stainless but fear these are no good as they will get rather hot.

What does everyone else use?







My third question is the fuel pipe. As i plan to run 5 bar i want to ditch the 25 year old perished pipe. Now there's some dodgy clips on the metal fuel pipe from the tank to the fuel rail. Can i just nut and olive both these?







My fourth question:

Can anyone tell if this a -31 actuator? It came with my reconditioned T34 which i bought second hand with 0 miles on it.




Really appreciate if someone could clear these up for me..

Cant answer all if any but I am sure as the standard reg is up to the job.

Are the bolts the torx ones for there ? I remember them being made out of something different because of the heat (I think) and maybe Ford for them if you can still get them.

If you take the actuator off it should be stamped on the bottom -31 or 34.You wont see it whilst the bracket is on there.

standard pressure regulator is fine and standard 3.5bar pressure with an 044 pump and greys Im sure. Who ever you get the chip/map off to run it will tell you exactly what you need to run though fella......

I've gone through Motorsport developments. Said i'd need a 044 pump but didn't mention anything about a pressure regulator.

 

The std regulator will be fine as long as it is in good working condition they are getting very old and we do see quite a few old age related failures these days

 

The std ones work flawlessly, however you will need a dial to measure your fuel pressure, and thats usually why people change to new ones. If changing, remember that cossie use a 1:1 regulator.

 

Burton power do the bolts , think around £20 each though !!
