thanks in advance for any help I get.... I have got a 53reg 115ps. according to the manual I should have a variable vain turbo.... mine isn't... it doesn't even have a Mass air flow meter.... I have checked and there are no signs of anything being changed.... according to Mr Haynes my mondeo is a 90ps. I am having glow plug light problems.... any advice would be gratefully received.

 

Could be injectors, fuel pump, get it plugged in and get the error code

Is it a 1.8 diesel.

 

As above, you don't get a 90 bhp version of the 2.0 tddi, the 90 bhp engine was the old 1.8 tad, what makes you think yours is a 90?

thank you for all the replies...... it is a 2.0ltr tdci. the log book says its 115ps the engine cover also says its a115..... yet looking in the Haynes manual, the turbo fitted to my car is only put on the 90ps...... I not got a airflow meter next to airfilter. my turbo actuator is vacuum only not electrical..... hope this makes sense..... thamks
