Paint or powdercoat for alloy wheels

Need views as to what's best, harder wearing etc. want to change the colour of my wheels to a gloss black Finnish, but what is best, paint them with a gloss 2k paint or get them powdercoated.

Heard many many stories of wheel cracking after powder coating!

So paint them imo

Think you'll find most wheel refurb companies powder coat first then laquer them.

I do wheels in 2k direct gloss paint or base coat with 2k lacquer and have never had any problems and are very hard wearing.

Same here
Some of the powder coated wheels that I've had in for re finishing have looked shite.
This is 2k base before getting machine finished with megs ultra fine compound
