How closely are the above related?I no Omegas use Saab gearboxes but today I saw a insignia vxr twin exhaust back box on the back of a saab and it looked factory lol.What else fits each other?

 

Saab uses Fiat diesel engines.

 

I know the vectra and the Saab 9-3 are the same underneath it all. To be honest, a lot of the parts are the same as they're both GM. Same as vauxhall and Chevrolet parts are the same underneath the bodywork.

I'm not certain on the engine code but I hear a lot of the vauxhall boys run the Saab 2.0 turbos as they are fully forged and easily reach 400bhp with little work? Anyone know if this is true or just bullshit?

Yeah that's true -iv fitted one into my mk2 astra estate.

 

Chip liked the Saab engines and rated them highly . shame they dont sound like a 900 T16s nowdays .
