Default Cosworth fuel pump cradle

I removed my fuel pump cradle for a cleanup. I was thinking of getting it shot blasted and powder coated. Question i have is - should I remove the mounting plate inside the cradle that is fixed in place with three pop rivets. I thought it would be a better job if removed, and coated separately - then pop rivet back in place after. I dont want to mess the whole thing up.
Any recommendations or tips? Cheers.

As said, if you don't you won't get rid of any corrosion between the 2 parts so deff worth doing!!

Ok cheers for the info - I have separated the pop rivetted section, and all bits will be going for blasting and power coat.

Now when I am at this - I am going to fit the pump wiring upgrade kit. Tonight I tried to check the voltage at pump, just to see what it is now.
I checked it with ignition on but car not running, and only got 0.5 odd volts.
Does car need to be running to get this voltage?

Fuel pump should only get power when engine is rotating it does prime for a few seconds when ignition turned on but that's all

It needs checking when under load on road to do it properly. On boost with foot on brake.

I removed mine and then, 're-fitted it with three small stainless nylock nuts and bolts but placing rubber washers between the plate and cradle which helps reduce future corrosion.
