Well yesterday I done something I never thought id actually do and sold the cabby, but I needed to as today I picked up performance ford bens old rst off marky-g, just requiring a little bit of bodywork and painting to finish, over the moon with how solid it is after marky has had most of the hard work done, not got any pics of how it is now but I will start a resto thread when I make a start next weekend, this car is fairly well known so if anyone has any info or pics of it id love to hear from you

Nice I take it you got the steering wheel situation sorted then? How much did you pay for the rst if you. Don't mind me asking

 

Yeah mate a fella I know dropped one off to me at half 11 last night, I paid £1k for it mate

 

Not a bad price does it need much work/welding doing. What are your plans for it ?

 

Lil bit of welding on one sill, and a rub down and painting,its fairly powerful anyway mate so not much to the engine just a freshen up, a brake upgrade, im sure plans will change as things progress, first thing to do is get the bodywork finished and get it painted, its had new inneer and outer rear arches, new bonnet and mint doors and tailgate, my aim is to get it on road for fordfair

Saw that on gumtree but can't take on another project

 

I got most of the stuff to go efi so is definitly on the cards for the future but it will be when funds allow as I got a baby due in 11 weeks

 

Lol I wanted another project and id lost interest in the cab and hadn't touched it much in a long time

 

i'd prefer the rst over the cab in the long run, plus prices are going up on them all the time

I very nearly sold up my zt fiesta but decided to just take my time so I bought myself a set of escos wheel lol, and just need a ofam ecu now too finish

 

This is my second too lol, my eldest is 9 so quite a difference lol, I will do the efi conversion, ill be using ofam too but wanna have enough to have a new loom made too so ill just finish the bodywork and get it going on mfi and change as and when really, id like it on the road for ford fair but we'll see

Well the first actual day I can get stuck in is here, ill take some pics later and start a resto thread, ill only be sorting through the stuff and making a list of what's missing if anything and going to try and get her fired up,
Does anyone else think its sacrilege if I changed the colour? Always wanted a black rst after 3 white ones a red one and the blue turbo cabby, I do like the graphite ones but love a black one

Been sorting through bits today, and pretty much just went over it and made a list of what needs doing, sanded the surface rust off the bare metal bits and put a bit of paint on them to help protect them for now, going back over tomorrow to start sanding the quarter back
