Hmm, I was impressed on how well it looked on the standard alloys, and seeing there in such good nick I did consider not doing 17s. Is there grief off them no matter the drop then? Plus it may save me some dough, but some pictures with the comp mo5s on excite me lol

I had a set of comp mo's in 17x7 on a 35mm drop. The rears scrubbed over big bumps and it handled like a tank.
They were on the car for a total of 4 hours.

Got myself a set of 16x7 team dynamics and it's lovely to drive.

Thanks for the advice, yeh iv had cars iv lowered and fitted 17s on which whenever you come upto a bump inthe road you grit your teeth, not the best impression for passengers of your new car either! 15s I think I'll stay, does a 20mm or 25mm drop on the 15s improve matters?

I believe 25mm is reccomended ammount.
Having driven one on 60mm springs on std shocks I would advise against it!

Yeh I only wanted to lower it slightly, may even go just for 20mm?

Mine is -25mm in that pic. Before i restored the car it was fitted on avo springs and standard dampers. It looked like it was lowered about 60mm as the standard alloys on 195/50 tyres would sometime rub on the front going round roundabouts at speed. Plus you couldn't fit your hand between the tyre and the arch.

16s ...personally think 15s just don't fill arches at rear enough ...also if u do a big brake upgrade you may struggle to get 15 s on .....got wilwoods 4 pots on mine and 15 s catch calipers bad

you need 7J to clear the calipers. Standard are 6.5J, My alloys are 7J and clear my 4 pots.
