I Am in the process of restoring my escort rs turbo and am going down the after market management route.
The question is does anyone make new looms for the car without the engine sensors running through the fuse box or is it better to just trim back the wires and use what is required
A new loom would mean no more 24 year old wiring and hopefully no problems as some of the wiring looks to have been modifyed by the last owner. But stripping back an existing loom will be more cost effective.

on mine i started to cut back the not used wires, but its also quite a work. If you have the money and can find somebody that wants to do it, then i dont see the reason why not to.
but its still money and you can only spend it onces
with that i mean if you run engine on a different loom what is the worst that can happen. Something not working, but you will always be able to take it home.
