Power limits of ST Escos coilpacks?
OK guys, here's one i've not personally come across before...
Planning a project with a customer who's using a Small Turbo Escort Cosworth engine as the base. We came to the subject of ignition system and whether the standard coilpacks would be up to the job of 650+bhp @ 2.2bar boost.
The furthest I can remember taking them from memory is around 550bhp @ 2.5 bar and we only stopped there as that was all the turbo had to give, has anyone taken them higher?
Many thanks!

Absolutely agreed in terms of dwell Jay, but as we both know - there are more people who 'rate' components using horsepower as a yardstick
I'm making the loom for it from scratch so my plan is to run all 4 ignition outputs up to a multiplug and then make a sub loom to the coilpacks - if on the dyno we start to overheat the coilpacks or run into misfires - at least it will only be a new sub loom to go to a Coil On Plug setup.
Would just be nice to know how far they've been taken before to avoid any unnecessary expenditure!
