Default Strange logbook issue

I sent a logbook off for a car I had about a month ago.

A family member had owned it before me for a good few months.

I then sold it to a friend of a friend and i know where it is at this moment in time and nothing dodgy has happened with it while hes had it, ive had it or the family member before.

DVLA havent returned the logbook in my name, theyve sent 3 sheets of paperwork, asking for the full details of the previous keeper , their name, address, postcode, dates they owned it from and sold it to me, then same again for myself, my address, postcode, dates owned/sold and then who owns it now?

Ive sold hundreds of cars and never had this before?

It may have flagged up something their end because of a relatively quick turnover of owners in a matter of months maybe

You could have a point there. Guy before me owned it for about 5 months but never sent the logbook off until a few weeks before i had it, and now ive sent it off again a month later to put it into my name maybe?? Seems daft though.

If his dates don't Match yours try will look into,,, now if the dates match whi ever sent of log book late could be lible for fine,,, that would be the person selling it and not the buyer at that time

As above, just be straight with them and tell it how it is and don't attempt to alter the truth for the benefit of anyone else (ie a family member) as it may come and bite you in the ass.
