Default Heat resistant tape

Has anyone used this sort of stuff to wrap boost hoses that are near the hot side of the turbo/exhaust? Is it any good? Any recommendations?
I've got a hose running between the radiator and exhaust which I'd like to wrap if possible to keep temps down.
Downpipe will be wrapped with heat wrap but manifold won't as its a stainless tubular affair!

Cheers

I've used DEI heatwrap on my car's 3" down pipe, only lasts about 6 months and then crumbles away.. I've tried copper wrap, graphite black wrap, normal colored wrap.. always the same result.
When you fit it be careful as the dam stuff itches like made if you get the fibers on your skin, wear a mask too.
The wrap would probably last longer if it's coated with the special silicone sealer that's sold separately but they never could post it. The wrap is also easily damaged/abraded and is quite expensive to buy seeing as it does basically fuk all.
Even with the wrap fitted onto my car's down pipe the heat generated was still way too much, even on low turbo boost.

The exhaust wrap I've got is auto specialist stuff from MSD so should be ok as I done think they'd sell a shit product.
My downpipe was wrapped before on my old spec and had no issues with it but dont know what type was used.
Main thing I was interested in was heat resistant tape for boost hoses, not downpipe.
I've took a chance and ordered some of this stuff

will see how I get on with it.
Will asllo get some of this to make up some heat sheilds
