Default Omex on a YB?

Has anyone used omex management on a YB engine on here before?

Doesn't seem to be a very popular choice, any reasons why?

Cheers billy

Thinking about going on to management and omex seems like a decent bit of kit.

Depends what power you're intending to run in the long run, Omex 600 isn't sequential so you can't run big injectors without having nasty emissions at idle.. I normally run 600 on sub 400hp cars and for the price it's a decent piece of kit, if you want sequential and more options then 710 is the one to go for. If your budget is for a 600 then I'd also look at Emerald as that does sequential for the same sort of money. Properly mapped all mentioned will drive nice. You would also need to consider injectors as they all run the high impedance type.

So if I was aiming for 500bhp, then your saying omex 710 would be better suited?

What injectors would I have to use?

Yes 710 would be the one, I'd speak to whoevers going to map it for you but mine is on the thin black Siemens and from memory they're about 850cc. I can check tomorrow as I have some at work.

Omex 710 is a good route on a yb, loads of experienced mappers to choose from

Nms
Northampton Motorsport
Gordon at street racers
Chris Todd

And I guess by martins responses its what reyland uses too, which makes the list more impressive, so must be a good route

Iv never used one but i hear theyre similar to the vipec that m.a.d use?

I know there is a few plug and play links too now..

I was looking at all the software on the new dta 60 pro and the new rs f88 over the last few weeks though and for the money the dta seems very capable and the f88 is awesome but very complicated for me at the moment

I wouldn't touch dta with a barge pole after a few mates cars were running it. Ran horrible, non stop problems etc...
