Default Gotech no spark?

The ecu and loom is off a cvh turbo with dizzy so I followed the guide in the gotech user manual and it has no spark

Cool pack worked when I removed the ofab, as did the crank sensor,
There's power too the coil pack and the coil feeds go live( need to get a power probe tonight and see if they pulse)
No fuel in cyclinders but pumps working with fuel too rail

Help, would the mapp being a dizzy mapp and not coil pack stop it from firing?

As it could have been set up for a different trigger?

My p8 had a chip set up for dizzy and was very reluctant to fire . It did start eventually but ran on 2 cylinders .

Cut along story short after it had a another chip put in it with a base map for cvh and coil pack it ran fine

So in theory I need a mapp for coil pack on a zetec turbo to gain a spark?

I'm guessing it must have the wrong trigger pick up mapped it, as it was on a dizzy rst so must of had a trigger wheel ?

it won't have had a trigger if it had a dizzy??

have you a range of dials on the software? Can you see engine speed on these when cranking?

i spoke to the previous owner and read the manual and it was/ needed to be set up with a external trigger to work with the hall effect/ dizzy set up

ive been told that i need to get the software updated to suit my new set up which is coilpack/wasted spark, semi sequential fueling with internal zetec crank sensor and flywheel

it must not be about to pick up the signal to give the pulse to the coilpack and injectors

oh and its the gotech mfi system that doesnt need a crank pick up/trigger set up, that would be an upgrade for a mfi rst to get it too efi

im running the gotech mfi pro which is a different system that can run the dizzy, coil pack, wasted spark, semi sequential fueling, vvt, and so on upto a 6 cylinder on coilpack

You say there's power to the coil pack and the coil feeds go live, what do you mean? There should be a live in and then two ground triggers not lives.

When the ECU signal a spark yes... A 4 cyl wasted coil pack has one 12v live (middle pin as a rule) and then two pulsed signal earth's (outer pins, one for each half of th coil pack).

Are you talking about the CPS trigger when you say 31-1 chip? If you are then the Ford trigger setup is 36-1, it references the number of 'teeth' on the flywheel and then how many are missing (1 in this case).

What did you forget to do??

Earth the gotech loom lol

It wasn't in the manual I downloaded, so I'm wondering what else is missing so I've been making a proper diagram to start from scratch and double check everything
