anyone any idea of how much is best to skim off a flywheel?

i phoned the engine shop yesturday for a price and they said the more i want off the dearer it is.

 

you only want it lightened and balanced !
i would have thought the £50 mark if you know a good place

 

If you want it re-faced/skimmed it would be minimal price, £40ish... Lightened and balanced could be alot more, as they would have to lighten it to your specified weight and then re-balance it, id get the clutch done at the same time and the crank for optimum smoothness.
