New Rear shocker mounts...
Replacement rear shocker mounts for Mk2 Orion/ Mk4 Escort...

Not available from Ford anymore, I've had no luck asking about on the boards... So a phone call to Floflex and I find these are new to their range...

There on there way to me, hopefully I can cure the knocking rear suspension for the trip to national day...

As much as I hate floflex, they do seem to actually give a toss in making new products and supplying entire car kits rather than half a cars worth and not listening to customer demand. How much did you pay out of interest?
Floflex rear top shocker bushes fitted...
What a nightmare to fit!!!
What a difference though, finally the rear coilovers are quiet...

There's absolutely no give in the new ones, the old ones could easily be squashed...

And all done, cleaned for National day...

Get adjustable rear tie bars at the same time, as i fitted polys and it put the rear geometry slightly out, makes the back alot more playful in the bends too!
Slammed - they look good. Is the ride much harsher?

I noticed a massive improvement with the tie bars, allows you to adjust the rear toe angle. To much toe-out = lively rear end, toe-in = tight rear end that follows you into bends. I run neutral. But fitting polys made it toe-out nearly 2degrees either side, it made it alot of fun to drive but i didnt feel i could push it as much as i can now its sorted.
Hi
Could you tell us the Floflex part number??
Don't suppose you've got any pictures of the way you fitted the rear coilover tops to the dished washer. I'm sure the way I've fitted mine is wrong but I can't find any pictures of other peoples before they fitted them up.
Yes mark I mean the cup type thing. I have gaz gha's but I bought them second hand so don't no how there ment to fit on the rear. I've got the cup sat on top of the coilover tops then just bolted up into the strut tops. Dunno if this is the right way they fit but I can't see any other way they fit lol.

You have fit 2 per shock, each side?
Bit of a post dig up but just fitted these and i'd just like to say
What a coont of a job to fit
Bit of WD40 and leaving them in boiling water for 5mins eventually did the trick. Not been able to go out and road test them yet but tbh my original rubbers were in good nick anyway so gains will be minimal.
