What sort of price should I be looking to pay for a re shelled rs turbo as once I've sold my cars I want a mk4 turbo but real ones are well out of my budget so thought I'd look into fake/rep ones
Guide prices please people

To me a reshelled rs is no different to an orginal - least you know it's sorted. I'm not in the uk but they can go for 3 to 5 k for a sorted one, I'd try to get one off a member off here
With rs's I wouldn't buy one that wouldn't break for more unless it was stupidly mint
And a reshelled one needs to be worth a lot more in parts than in one
The bare shells do not sell unless mk3 or rs, so straight away as I said unless it has 2 grand worth of parts then it's not worth 2k

Doesn't matter, a good s2 breaks for less than 2k unless it has a steel engine and that's getting a few hundred for a good shell if your very lucky
A non rs mk4 shell is worth nothing so normally ends up scrapped so unless it has 6/7k worth of parts no-one but an idiot would spend 5k on a car that's worth nothing

Yeah exactly that mate not looking to spend 4-5k on an rs but more to towards 1-2k as a fixa upper rep with full turbo running gear not even bothered about interior or would even consider a 4 door sleeper

Anything real demands a proper price tag be it a cossie, st focus, rs focus, rs fiesta or escort turbo Reps are not worth as much an are always a shed load cheaper to insure plus im not bothered what the outside looks like just want the power train to be as it should be
i would say you will be able to get a NICE RUNNER sleeper or rep for Ł1500, if theres problems with it i wouldnt be spending more than 1k
and for a pretty car that runs nice i would pay upto 2k, or a nicely modded example
but if the car had the right spec i would pay more

Genuine cars can be had for cheaper than you think. I was gonna buy this to break myself but have just too much around me at the moment

I paid a grand for a non runner with full steel engine and had it running in 10 mins lol
Just need to bide your time and be picky
I saw a 190bhp xr3i rst rep track car needing tidying and had konis everything and was Ł900

The above stuff would be idea as the less the car costs the more upgrades I can do in shorter time scale like brakes, suspension then maybe some engine mods but more interested in it stopping and handling right more than what it does from the lights lol
