How can you tell if a chip is a 165 or a 195?? i got a superchip off a friend and he did not know which one it was. There is no label on the back or front or anything???

Please help as i want a 195 not a 165 and if its the latter i will sell it

how much boost you want to run?

 

not sure if i tell you the mods i have planned what do you think it will be running at?

stage 2 pe hybrid T3 turbo, kent cvh34 cam, pro alloy front mount intercooler, superchip, cosworth induction, beige injectors, cosworth fuel pump, turbo and coolant hoses, s/s exhaust, felpro h/gasket with stretch bolts, paddle clutch.


Think tahts the majority of it, as you can imagine my c/c has had a battering!

 

ahh well my point was gonna be that a 165 chip will let it boost to 15psi, a 195 to 18 i think (not 100 % on the 195) but with your spec i shud imagin you'd what to take advantage of more that 15psi

run it at over 15 mate, if it cuts its a 165 (or 15psi as i pref to say) if it dont its a 195

the boost limit seems to be teh only difference in my experiencs

you could just get it reflashed for 50 quid by a superchips retailer if it is just a 165

Problem is, the 195 Superchip aint that great.

You would be better getting a chip mapped for you car.

 

there is that, i have a live map chip in my ofab setup but dunno what to do with it, lets me run 20psi + so im happy
