Default 3dr sound system

I'm wanting to change the system inside i currently have a JVC CD running standard speakers and just really want to make it sound more modern - not really interested in subs etc but i'd like to be able to do something with the standard configuration of mounting behind the dash and i would consider an acoustic shelf for the rear (if i knew a company that sells them) with a proper set of speakers.

The head unit i have seen is this the KENWOOD KDC-BT92SD the mobile phone bluetooth and USB attracts me but i'm not sure which unit's are the best for under £150?

Any advice on anything much appreciated

My saff has different speakers in the doors and tweeters. It also has 6x9s on the rear self and tweeters in the C pillar trims. It also has a bass box in the boot.

My wifes focus has standard for speakers and a fli bass box and hers sounds louder than mine lol.

I love my tunes in my car.

Any ideas how to remove the little triangular pieces of plastic behind the mirrors? I want to mount my tweeters on them rather than the A pillar and having trouble removing them. Dont want to pry to hard and break them

My 3 Door the standard music was awful.
So I bought a spare set of doorcards and fitted a set of pioneer 1799 speakers into them with some pods I made, then made up a rear shelf and fitted another set of pioneer 1799 speakers to that and covered it with acoustic cloth.
Both speakers are run off an amp in the boot.
Wasnt too expensive but the difference was huge.

The drivers side is held in by a screw and the passenger side just clips off.

I would like to keep the speakers where they currently are but maybe change the mountings from 4" to house 6-7" speakers - i had a look yesterday and the speakers are 80w Alpines just need to find adapters now if they are something that gets made?

I put some 6x9 in the rear panels.... Never know they were there.... I like to keep My car audio hidden. The later XR4Ti's had adapters in the front dash for larger speakers.... but You should be able to fab something up.
