Default BMW e39 sat nav issue

Hi all just after some help, my girlfriends dad has a 530i, in the last few months the sat nav has stopped working and now so has the tv, the sat nav constantly says insert disc and the tv is fuzzy like the aerials disconnected

Also the reversing sensors don't work, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there are any cures

I was thinking to maybe disconnect the battery for a while and see if it changes

Help is much appreciated thanks

punch it

failing that try to get a good scanner, idealy Bosch and it will tell you exactly where to follow wiring from.

similar problems were traced to roof ariel connection curroding

As Tiff says TV probably wont work as its analogue. I can still remember the day I suddenly realised I couldn't watch loose women at lunchtime in my car anymore I also had a similar issue with my Satnav, turned out to be the laser in the DVD drive needed replacing. A relatively similar job, I did mine byfollowing a video on youtube on how to do it. Laser bought of Ebay I think for about £70.00
