Clio 172 5th gear nut ? No you mean stripped 5th gear (with pics)
Been told by a Clio specialist a few weeks ago the my issue with 5th gear popping out will be the nut on the end comes loose, does it all the time he said
So today off with the end casing and was greeted to this.

Good news was the end nut is on perfect and tight
Anyone know where I can get a engine and gearbox for a 172 Clio,,,,,, ideally with. Warranty lol
Poor car, I I treat it so well too
well I try to

Why you scrapping it ?
I honestly love the car, it does get abused though and high speed motorway driving was done for almost every day for a year
Still a very fun car to drive and phase 1 clios are getting rare but also this is getting on in life too

Think being honest I might just buy another Clio as the value just ain't there and needs a few other bits too like aircon rad, wing painted after I hit a rabbit, roof needs spraying and new pads on front, the list goes on
I'm riding my bike to work these days and weekends I generally drink so don't actually need a car tbh and my Subaru needs to be finished too so think its about that time to strip bits and scrap it unless I get a cheep engine and box as 750 for both is a bit extreme considering you can buy them for 1000 to 1800 quid

They maybe good round a track but their shite at everything else, apart from rusting as their 90% plastic.
One of the worst cars I've seen in a crash as well, what little metal they use bends very easily.
What's wrong with scooby?
I may know for one broken,it's been a while but I'm pretty certain the mong involved wont have sold much off it.
Was bumped but drove great,he crashed it pissed and lost his licence!!!!
The only bits I know are gone are the cat and lambda/downpipe.
If its t&t'd and insured just let it "disappear".

I'm going to stick a longer 5th gear and see what I can about the engine as I do love driving it
