Thumbs up Need yb conrods ..

After taking my yb rods to have new smallens bushes
I was told that the big ends are out of shape ( oval'd ) .
So nows perfect time to ' up rate' them .
I've been looking around and found these on eBay by a company called PPM
Item number 270493252498..
They look and sound the part but
Has anyone had any dealings with these ppl or no someone that has??
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers

unless you are changing the rod ratio use std cosworth rods these were designed and manufactured by COSWORTH and have no horse power limitation on a yb as the rest of the engine will disintegrate first
the standard cosworth rod is a serious over engineered piece of kit
but what do cosworth know about engine design
there is nothing std about an original genuine cosworth part
you are more likely to be down grading by trying to upgrade

just getting the brackets electro plated
why don't you just get a new set of genuine cosworth rods
very rare for the std rods to have any issues has your engine been suffering from detonation

Ok cool.. Do u no How long so I can get courier sorted ??

It's a 4x4 engine I bought about 2 yrs ago it's just been sat waiting for me to do something with it .. I had it taken apart an it had spun a big end at some point and scored the crank so had that a grind on big ends and mains so all nice an fresh .. If I could get hold of a good std set of Cossy rods for not much money then yeah I'd get std. ..

4x4's are prone for spinning number 4 and a proper sump is a must
it is probably only number 4 rod that's out of shape

Tony by proper sump do you mean big wing. Gated or both?
Is it worth running hp pump on 4×4's?

just get the standard rods resized! its not rocket science for most machine shops... unless somehow they're big at the sides?

Regardless of what sump is fitted it is always No4 that is the most prone to failure

No4 is the furthest big end away from the oil pump and is the most likely to fail

If your oil pump sucks air (hence the need for dry sump or an efficient gated/baffled sump) then No 4 is gonna pay the price

HP/HC pump is useless if the pick-up pipe is in fresh air !
