Just wondered if any rocker covers off other zetecs fit.

Basically want to take the one off my girlfriends escort so can get it blasted and painted nice but its her daily car so would have to replace it so she can still use it. i have a puma that im breaking and wondered if the one off the 1.7 engine would fit or should i just buy a new one and paint that?

 

I don't think the 1.7 one would fit, so it would probably be easier to just buy another one get I painted then sell your old one. But any silver top rocker cover will for it, doesn't have to be a 1.8 that's assuming it is a silver top.

 

having just had a look at some pictures i think yes for one the oil filler cap is on the wrong side. so its a silver top am looking for. also i saw a couple of the black top ones which i think was for a 1.8 focus, are these different too or could that be a possibility? just looks a little nicer from what i have seen!

The black top is different but I'm sure I've soon some with a silver top rocker cover so it might be possible to do it the other way around aswell... I guess the only way to see is to get one and try it on.

 

a black top one can be made to fit but a 1.7 puma one will defo not fit completey different engine same as mk4/5 fiesta 1.25/1.4/1.6
