reverse swtich sensor advice

reverse swtich sensor advice
now im not a mechanic but i bought a reverse switch sensor for the mrs k12 micra as i as told they are easy to fit and it does look to be but its on the gearbox and im worried if i take it out will the gear box oil come out, can anyone give me some advice about changing it before i nake a mess of it
