Default T3 with beige injectors

hello all, i am doing a T3 conversion at the moment i have got a stage 2 PE hybrid, have got a superchip, and getting a kent cam with cosworth induction. Would there be any benefit getting beige injectors? or would i be better off spending the money elsewhere (i.e. clutch or intercooler?)

Cheers

depends how much power you want, think the standard injectors are good for about 180bhp or so , if you want more than that then you really need bigger injectors.

as bud-weis, said 180bhp on standard injectors, your not supposed to run anymore than 12psi on std injectors anyway, so all depends on what power ya after

You wont see anything but an engine meltdown after around 175bhp on std injectors at std fuel pressure. The pump is also on its limit at this point.

stu, is it common for beige injectors to give a 'lumpy' drive on light throttle at low revs? it pulls smoothly when on throttle, the only other one i have driven was standard and seemed much smoother round town.?

Esc Cos uprated.

The 701s will make around 215 bhp.

i got a fuel pump from Glencoe ( FSE ) . they did me a great deal at the time of £100 including VAT and delivery . it's the ITP044 that you want , the Fiesta turbo / Escort cosworth motorsport pump , handles up to 350 bhp.

Just to clarify, the ITP048 is the 350bhp pump. NOT the 044.

Your listing kind of answers your question for you.

The 044 is a standard esc cos replacement.
The 048 is a 350 bhp replacement.

Call them and they will confirm they dont really do a 500bhp pump. We have argued this with them very recently and they concur that they dont in fact do one bigger than the 048.

not very good selling products under false pretences

Its highlighted by the fact the 044 is listed for the std car in their catalogue too.

If youd ever seen a 500bhp in tank fuel pump you would see why the 048 design can never easily flow it anyway!!

no i haven't seen a 500bhp in tank fuel pump. but before i'd seen the listings or indeed their catalogue i spoke to them on the phone and asked what THEY would recommend fuel pump wise for a fiesta turbo running 200+ bhp. the guy then basically said 'you'll be wanting the 044, flows 350, more than you'll probably ever need' , when i said is that the same as the escort cosworth pump he said " yeah but not the motorsport one , that flows 500bhp which would put way too much strain on your fuel system "

ah well least i know now

cheers
