First of all, this isn't a for sale post. I've got a pair of spots off a mk3 XR3i, complete with brackets. The spots themselves aren't in particularly good condition, lenses are cracked, but will be chucking them on ebay anyway, just wondered if it's worth selling the brackets seperately?

 

What kind of lights are they? Carellos or Fords own accessory lights?

The brackets sell for up to Ł35 if they're in good nick

 

The brackets are in reasonably good condition, Ford stamped on them along with a number, the lights are marked at the top with OBEN and 1 of them has a little Ford sticker in the centre. I've got a mint Carello spot up in the loft, but only the 1, the other got smashed.

 

I'd probably split them to sell then,the lights probably aren't worth much if they're cracked.

You never know though,ebay is a strange place,i got a set of carellos for Ł1.20 not that long ago.There was no mention of ford or RS/XR in the title,people weren't interested.

 

Spots are worthless and brackets are worth around Ł10

 

A few months ago I sold a set of reasonably rusty (but would be good after a cleanup) mk3 spot brackets on eBay for Ł47, so anything is possible

 

Pair of brackets for a mk4 Escort on Ebay currently, Ł39...

 

That maybe the case for mk4 stuff but not mk3

 

That's what I sold my last set for and I watched a set fetch Ł7.50 on there the other day. Ok so they are worth Ł5-25 IMO depending on the day lol

 

You have to make sure you mention RS in the title though,if not then you lose out on the RS tax that seems to apply to everything.
