FAO - people who use TORQUES aeroquip style fittings
I have used many aeroquip fittings in the past but have only just assembled some torque teflon hose and fittings,
Now with aeroquip you tighten the two half of the fittings until there is a gap of approx 0.7mm, but with these TORQUES fittings I can only tightest until there is a gap of approx 2.5mm which is massive in comparison but it is so tight try to go further that the alloy aeroquip spanner is flexing! And I fear the fitting itself will crack which I am sure WILL happen if I go further
Anyone else used these, if so what kind of gap did you have when assembled,?
Have emailed Alex of Torques to ask but thought I would ask here as well
Thanks
Marc

They are alloy aeroquip spanners, the marks are from the alloy aeroquip vice jaws, because I was trying to do them so tight, the others I went easier on
Think il just pressure test them and if ok then I will leave as they are

yes sorted out an AUX fuel tank for my toy and used similar. The gap for me with 12 mM braided pipe was 3.03mM according to my verniers! PM me if you need any more information! The easyist thing to do is show you using skype as I could take the laptop into the garage and show you as you asked in real time!
I also use PTFE tape on some of the fitments, as they are for petrol!
