hi well as some of use know my girlfriends nova went up in flames the other day its nearly repaired now... BUT my mk4 escort cabby thought it would copy today and set itself alight i was driving along when the car filled up with smoke coming through the vents.quite a scary experiance even worse when your 8 week old son is in the back ive never stopped the car jumped out and bein in the back so quick in my life..called the fire brigade and they couldnt see anything wrong and left the scene.thats when i pulled centre console glove box etc out to find the glove box light wiring had burnt luckily that was the only damage..

 

woah, both cars?? thats some bad luck but glad your son is ok that is most important thing

 

yea both cars luckily the cab wasnt to bad and yea getting him out was main thing outcome wasnt bad which is a bonus

 

lucky mate - i would get the wiring checked on both cars now

 

it was the carb on the nova which ive sorted. but ive got a lad coming this week to double check wiring in cab better to be safe than sorry
