ive got a 91 ghia and thats got a height adjustment on the column.
Does anyone know if this will bolt on straight to a 2wd cossie rack?
I woulden't know about that but you will also need to alter the dash, as facelifts are different, you will need to do so to accomodate the adjustment lever.
I don't have electric sun roof or electric rear windows and its a 90 4x4?
Then you don't have a Cosworth or someone has removed the rear leccy windows! Ghia models and so Cosworths have full electric windows! Leccy sunroof was only available on facelift models.

Sort of - foreign (ie, non UK) models had keep-fit rear windows, lacked the RS badge on the boot, and I think were also missing the Sapphire badge on the rear door quarter. To sort of make up for it, some countries had auto-levelling headlights and air con as standard (auto levelling headlights are a legal requirement in some countries).

I have an italian one, manual rear windows and no sapphaire badge on the rear quarters, had air con, but has an RS badge?
Not worried about the rear windows, don't sit in the back

That's because the whole "Sapphire" thing only existed in the UK (and probably Ireland). In mainland Europe all models were simply called Sierra. Also, with the 1990 facelift, all models including hatchback and estate, got the "Sapphire" front with the shorter bonnet.
The RS badge was done away with on non UK models as Ford believed the Cosworth badge alone was enough to identify it, so it's strange yours has one?
Not sure about whats been said by shorter front though? This never changed apart from the Saphs had different bonnets and grills.

Over here, hatchbacks and estates had the "long nose" smooth fronted bonnet with no grille, and Sapphires had the grille and "short nose" bonnet. Abroad it was literally the other way around, Cossie being the exception.

No mate, it wasn't the other way round. Until the 1989/90 facelift, all non-Cosworth Sierras (even the 4dr one that you call Sapphire) had long bonnets. From 1990 on, all models (except Cosworth) got the shorter bonnet .

Get what your saying, I thought you meant the actual bonnets were longer lol, I disagree with what your saying about the bonnets though for facelift Saphs (UK models at least), double crossing myself I have just looked on the net for an image and found one that has the Saph style bonnet (Non Cosworth), i.e. with a separate grill?
Saphs in the UK always had the seperate grill (mind you, its design changed slightly with the 90 facelift), while Sierras always had the "long bonnet".
In mainland Europe there was never a difference between Sapphires and Sierras regarding the design of the front end. Until 1990 all had long bonnets, from 1990 on all had shorter bonnets (seperate grill as you call it).
This goes for all models except Cosworth and (I believe) P100.
