High reving when iscv is plugged in

Default High reving when iscv is plugged in

I have a stage 3 saph 2wd running L8 motorsport developments chip runs fine but when you plug the iscv in it revs to about 2.5k what causes this i have cleaned it but made no difference

It sounds like it could be knackered mate, did you have a problem with it before you took it off to clean it? and what did you clean it with?

also have you adjusted the tick over at all as when your adjusting it your supposed to leave it unplugged adjust it then plug it back in!

It's not "knackered", clearly it's being told to open by this much by duff info being sent to the ECU, I would look toward the TPS calibration.

Base idle is adjusted when the engine is up to temperature, all electrical equipment switched off, and then with the valve disconnected, set the idle speed, when plugged back in the idle speed should raise momentarily then drop again.

I dont know what it was like before i just bought the car & the lad had just fitted L8 to it he said he fitted the tps properly with a volt meter i will try set the idle thanks

If L8 you will need a PF09 TPS, as well as swapping the outer two wires, the output should INCREASE with throttle, for reference.

Yeah i had a similar problem with mine and it was the wires on the tpf wasn't swapped, run fine without but when plugged in revved to around 3k, thats why i thought i would mention it.

Im sure he did say the wires were swapped around , what colour should the tps be ?

i will text the lad again & confirm what he did when he fitted the l8 he said he set theh tps with a multimeter

You can take the pins out, so it may not have just been cut and rejoined....

He said he turned the plug around ? must have filed the lugs down i will check 2 moro

personally new saff = set up straight way for piece of mind
