fiesta 1.8 td not starting HELP!!!
Hi I have a 2000 1.8td fiesta.
I started it up the other day to move it a few yards forward, it started fine however as I moved forward it just died cut out instantly.
Turned ignition back on and waited for glow plug light to go out and turned key and nothing just did not turn no clicking from the starter solinoid just dead. Tried again turned ignition on all lights on except glow plug light turned key and nothing same as before.
What have I done,
charged battery and put back on still the same as above, turned headlights on and when ignition turned to start headlights went out, so on this felt it was a faulty battery.
Have just put new battery on and still nothing same as before no glow plug light and nothing when you try to start no noise at all..
Checked all fuses I can find in car and engine bay, removed them and put back same with all relays in engine bay also unplugged and re connected all plugs I can find in engine bar as well, still nothing.
Dont think its the immoboliser as it would still crank over but just not fire is my understanding, but maybe wrong..
I really need help as it is up for sale and I need to get it started asap..

it could be imobiliser, this stops cranking too. try another key. make shure you have checked the big fuses as wel as the smll ones in the engine bay. i know the escorts of that age have problems with fuseboxes going faulty (internal circuitry inside the fusebox- not accessable), maybe youres is the same... just a thaught though.
