Default diesel sierra more power lucas cav

hi all new on here
my daily car is a sierra 2.3 diesel ( puegeot engine )
its got the lucas cav pump and i want to open it up a bit for a bit more grunt ive done bosh ones before but not sure about these
ITS A TIDY CAR WITH NICE HIGH DIFF AND TYPE'9 BOX SO MAY GET A 24V I KNOW ABOUT SOON

On the side of the pump you should see a hexagon shaped cover about the size of a 50p piece, behind this is the locknut and screw for the governor, so tweak this a bit, think it's counter clockwise for more fuel, obviously if belching soot just back off a bit.

i think ive got it , mine had a plastic cover over so took it off and found round lump with hex inside is this what you mean or is it the one thats dirty with the small bolt in middle

It's the hex with the smal bolt in the middle.

superb i presume its remove hex nut then wind out adjuster a bit
is there a set amount of turns ?

I am not 100% sure as ages since I did one, just take large cover bit off and have a gander, I would move around 1/8 a turn at a time.
