Hi all, could anyone tell me if I can use aftermarket black top cams in a silver top cylinder head, if so can I get away with hydraullic silver top lifters? Any advice would be appreciated

 

they will fit but you should never mix and match hydraulic with soilds the ramp rates ect are different. Hope this helps

 

i have stage 2 comp cams (made for focus blacktop in america) in my 2.0 silvertop and they've been in for about 6 years with no problems.

i went for the comp cams because they are made to go straight in, whereas crane and crower cams from usa need some grinding even to make them fit a blacktop. i dont remember the technicalities behind this before anyone asks, nor do i care
