Slight Cracks
alright guys,
just abit of advice, rebuilding motor going forged and all that stuff,
striped the cyl head down today and after abit of cleaning discovered these...

should i worry about these tiny little cracks at all?
there on 3 on the chambers, mostly across from valve to spark plug thread.
cheers

It isnt scrap at all! It can be repaired or used as is, it's up to you!
99% of RS Turbo heads will be like this according to Ollie from NMS, and 99% of the time they will be perfectly fine to use, if it was fine before you took it off then there is a good chance it will continue to be fine.
Unfortunately the heads are 20+ years old, and so the metal is old, fatigued, and brittle
The head they suppplied me has at least one crack as above and that head cost me £700!!
But... in an ideal world it would be better to have one without any of course!
