I'm due an MOT and obviously Moorfield is just along the road from me.

Whats the deal with things like tints, plates with honeycomb backing, and HID lights?

Had nothing but hassle last year. Obviously I wouldn;t want anyone to break the law, and nothing on my car is illegal. Just explaining to some MOT testers is like wasting your breath
