I think ebay is really more ideal for a buyer as opposed to a seller. There seems to be alot of assholes on there looking to get something for nothing and rip you off. I think I have only ever sold about 10 items on ebay with no hassle, all the rest have been purchases.

If your selling ford parts, this place seems to be as good as it's going to get. You don't seem to get to many assholes. The problem with ebay is they have customer satisfaction to worry about which means they have quite a strong refund/resolution policy, and con artists use this to their advantage.

may I ask what you sold and what the actual problem was?

to cut a long story short (this is not my 1st problem btw) some tw4t bought a headlight off me. paid quickly thru paypal-so i left +feedback. I sent item then recieved a message off another member tellin me he is a con man and claims not to have rec'vd items, and getting refunded. He has done it numerous times since jan, waits for + feedback then claims. He has set up dispute and paypal didnt pay me. So he has a free headlight that cost me a Ł10 to post. I know i should have sent recorded but i didnt know at the time what a cUnT he is

as for the light if he has not got it then file a claim for the item's loss, you might get the delivery office that the item went through saying that it was delivered (taken at the door) if this is the case you might have some cannon fodder to prove that the guy is a lying thieving cunt

I agree they will only side with the buyer and ebay are money grabbers but you have to play them at there own game my last 4 big item's are unsold on my ebay account but so i sold to an ebay out of ebay, it's the only way to do it.

Well i thought about that. If he wasnt in then the Postman will post a red slip requiring him to collect from the PO with id. I am sure the PO record this???

Yes, good place to buy a bargain, I used to sell loads of stuff but don't now, now and again I put something up but I always end up feeling that it sold too cheap and that the fees were too high so I've virtually stopped. Still buy quite a lot of stuff though.

With listing fees, final value fees and paypal fees you practically have to give things away, and to treat ALL buyers as 5 star is ridiculous, like in life, there are good and bad at everything.
Bit like car booting, in the early days it was great fun and you could make decent money, but not anymore, eventually eBay sellers will dwindle and they may wake up and smell the coffee!

On a previous thread, I thought you said that you had proof of postage? If so then just claim from Royal Mail!

You'll end up with the value that the headlight sold for and the amount of postage that you paid.

its for that reason that I dont send anything out until the money has cleared out of paypal and is physically in my bank account.

but i know what your saying, however u should always send recorderd delivery it doesnt cost much more. and it saves your arse.
