im trying to fit a new rad. valve but keeps leaking ive fitted int 15x8 reducer but keeps leaking at valve what im i doing wrongwill get a pic up shortly

You don't need tape on the outside thread of the valve.

Starting with the valve, wrap a couple of turns of tape around the 15mm insert closer to the end where it tapers out.
Having put the nut then the collar (the correct way round) on the pipe, fit the 8mm olive, then wrap that a couple of turns, fit pipe into valve push right in and tighten.

Yeh just put some ptfe tape on the olive job done

 

the 15x8 reducer is one piece do i still need a olive

 

As in shears into 2 pieces to make the seal when you tighten it up enough.?

Olive not required.
