Well I've had two cars since last coming on here, actually. The first was this one:

It was a Rev 2 MR2 Turbo. Running an aftermarket IC, Blueflame exhaust, boost controller, etc., with some awesome Recaro seats and some JDM SSR GT1 Integral alloys.
Only problem was, it was fooked! About two months after getting it, the engine wiring loom shorted out and pretty much melted, due to a frayed wire getting water inside it. Took some real head scratching to work out what had happened to it.
So I had to get hold of a secondhand loom and rewire the engine, which was a bit daunting at first but in the end didn't take me too long once I got up and running. The stereo wiring had been completely butchered as well, and I had to rewire it all up to standard plugs so that I could then connect it to an ISO adapter.
Then I decided to sell her a couple of weeks ago. Took a bit less than I wanted but I had decided I wanted a T-Bar.
So how did I end up with this then?!:

Well, I spotted this one up for sale for just over £2k, and after a bit of bargaining, the seller agreed to £1500. For a Rev 3 Turbo
It's not a T-Bar, but at that price I couldn't let it go, as I'd rather have a Rev 3 tintop, than a Rev 2 T-Bar.
I knew she had a few issues before I made the long journey to South Wales to get her, but I wasn't too worried about that.
I got there and the guy picked me up from the station, took me for a drive in the car, and then I had a drive and looked it over. The engine was idling really badly, and was cutting out sometimes, which made approaching junctions and taking it out of gear a real lottery! But while it was in gear, being driven it was fine, so I knew it would be OK to drive the 200 miles home.
It also had warped discs, some faded/oxydized paint on the roof/bonnet and it makes a sqeaky rattle type sound when the clutch is released and it's in neutral, so a clutch change and/or recon 'box will be in order once I find out exactly what's causing it. I don't think it's just a noisy release bearing, as they don't usually squeak, but we'll see.
I took the throttle body off the night after I got her home to give it a good clean. This didn't solve the idling issue, and I had rounded the screws trying to remove the idle control valve for cleaning. So I thought fook it, and bought a used TB and ICV from a breaker, and these came a day or so later.
That night I fitted the new parts, and the car ran beautifully!
So all in all I am very very happy. In a couple of days I sort the brakes out, then at the end of April I will be polybushing her, and fitting new adjustable anti roll bars and drop links. Should be tight as a nun's chuff
Hope the pics work, as Flickr images don't work at work now, yet I can still log into the site and get the links for the images, so they should display for you guys OK.

I didn't actually want an MR2 as I had had an N/A many moons ago, but I was struggling to sell my 328 Sport and got offered the first one as a swap so said fook it, why not. Once I drove it I fell in love and then to had to have a Rev 3 after that
Can't wait to get on with sorting the suspension, she should be lovely when I am done.
As for the tossers, they can suck my balls the sad cunts

not much gives you that kind of tuneability/reliability/mid engined handling characteristics for relatively little money. This one has an HKS Super Dragger exhaust system, and will be getting an uprated intercooler and boost controller in due time.
theres a kid up from near where i lived up north called GTS chris, he was/ is bang into them and i think he was in the 11`s at york.....
didnt talk to him much as he was a right fuckin cock, couldnt beat my cossie above 40mph and he didnt like that lol
i had respect for them then, really enjoyed driving customers cars hard but again, wouldnt have one........
and i really didnt like the handling, front ends wash out far too easy i thaught without warning
