Default 2.9 v6 12v hydraulic tappets help?

hi does any 1 know how to re adjust hydraulic tappets on the 2.9 v6 12v bearing in mind i dont run dizzy anymore its on coilpacks

you don't need to, as they are hydraulic

if you have "adjusted" them then be prepared for a world of hassle

no i havent adjusted them but i have stage 3 heads on it now and i wanted to make sure they are right

as far as i'm aware they won't need to be adjusted, but it would have been far better to have changed the cam and fitted solids while the engine was in bits if you want to make the most from teh heads

unless you are going to turbo it at a later date...........

i am planning on putting a better cam in at some point and its already turbo'd lol

hi mate if its the ford granada 29 v6 12 valve its has manual ajustment like a old crossflow

Not if its the later hydraulic ones that he has they don't

if i remember to pre'tension them up i think you go from the dizzy order loosen the rocker just slightly and then a 90 deg turn to tighten but i cant remember for sure

manual on my mates h plate 4x4 29 granada dont know about later ones v6s went out with the titanic to asmatic
