One local to me for sale, very tempted 2002 model (old shape) loads of spec, good mileage/history and price. Always remember them from the film Ronin. Anyone ever owned one? What kind of problems or things to look for when I go to view it tomorrow?

 

No idea, but class lookng cars. I'd love one myself.

have had 3 now!!!
2 s8's and a 2.8 a8 early and late d1's
engines are bomb proof and the only real problems ive ever experienced is witg gearboxes, the auto boxes need to be serviced as per audi specs or they start switching gear randomly etc, you tend to find all d1 s8s that are spares or repairs on flea bay are there with box issues
my latest one was a 51 plate black one with trip tron steering wheel, i bought it couple of days after i sold my rb5 scoobie, bout two weeks later i seen my prev owned scoob travelling down the a1,the new owner decided to see what my new car had, was mortified when i pushed him to 150 then kept going
all in all they are an excellent motor, granted fairly expensive to run but i found insurance is fairly cheap compared to similar spec jap cars and have a huge presence on the road
