It's not been delayed for 2 years. It's only been delayed once!
Polyphony/Sony only gave one release date and that was next month. They delayed it, however, Sony insisted it doesn't affect the European market so there is no point in us moaning about it.

Last I heard, the RUMOURs are saying a September release (BUT THIS IS NOT BASED ON AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!)

also they keep releasing new screenshots from gt, like this, i mean are these the actual screenshots from the game, cos thats how they keep saying it, oo new screenshots..

 

fecking PS load of shite. get a 360 and get forza 3 and MW2 in my eyes best console for online game play and i think that the sales of MW2 on the 360 shows that.

mw2 on the xbox was outselling the ps3 version by about 3 to 1 if i remember right

 

2-1 and that was only in the us as there all xbox bums due to microsoft

if you havn't, dont try and go online or play any games as it may result in losing trophies and save files.

Well its been down for 24 hours, people have lost save files trophies etc. Also, i cant see how they're going to fix it. If they release a patch, how can people get online to download it?

Chop wasn't having a pop, he was just saying that the PS3 is still prone to error as is the Xbox.

I'm on my 3rd 80gig PS3 in less than 18 months First one packed in after about half an hours worth of gaming, second one lasted until September last year and now my current one has this stupid error code showing up.

The older style PS3's are not really anymore reliable than the Xbox in all fairness, Sony relased the Slim in order to combat the hardware issues as have microsoft with there new "Jasper" Xbox's.

I'm still a PS3 fanboy though

you were comparing it as you quoted the guy who was slagging off the xbox, no one is saying the ps3 is invincible as nothing is, just that its ALOT better then the xbox in terms of relability

they will just roll back the latest update... its only like when windows have released an iffy update or ati/nvidia have released some dodgy drivers a quick easy solve will soon be here dont panic

there alot more realiable going from the stats on the net im not a fan boy of either have had both and still have the ps3 dont really play consoles that much will play GT5 when it comes on for about 2 months till im bored like i did forza then its back to the proper gaming on the pc

 

Of course more Xbox's are going to break down as they have sold more.

I'd say with people I know about the same have had broken PS3's as Xbox's.

I'm really not surprised GT5 is delayed again, I strongly doubt we will see it in 2010.

plus gt5 got put back again as its nowhere near as hgood as forza 3 which has now been out a while!

I dont believe you as the network error is a global thing and its caused by the ps3's internal clock. Its getting mistaken in its dates because its a leap year.
You must be the only person in the world right now that has a working ps3.

 

Its only the older one's mate, the newer are fine.

Not at all. At least 8 of my mates have PS3 slims and have been on all day.

 

Well they are plenty of people on the psn forums with slims complaining of the 8001050f error.

 

Makes you wonder if they keep delaying it because it simply isn't good enough? When a game is delayed indefinately its usually because it has either major problems or the developer/distributor is not happy with end product. All that ever gets shown is screenshots which are pointless. So many times we've seen 'actual in game screenshots' which turn out not to be true I've got a PS3 but I'm already bored of GT5 before it comes out.

I'm a GT fanboy but I'll stick with forza 3 on the 360. At this rate Forza 4 will not be far off GT5.

 

I dont really care how long it takes them, I have GT5P to keep me busy (I mean I am still racing online on that one regularly)

But I do know when they release it, its going to be as near as perfect as it can be dammit. That is the Polyphony way. They keep seeing how much they can get out the system and when they are convinced you can't get any more, then they release it.

I have the Preview Demo and its leaps ahead of GT5P. The graphics, particularly the interiors are so detailed you can see the fabric on the dash. The cars sound exactly how they should do. They respond exactly how they should do.

I would rather they spend more time getting it right and missing the deadlines rather than rushing it to get a deadline and not getting it just right.

lol not anymore. Any playstation pre mid2009 doesnt work. That about 90% of the playsations in the world right now aren't working. Thats a f*ck up beyond microsofts poor xbox chips.

Its not tho. Its hardware issues, even people that dont have the inernet are getting it.
Its a bios error where the internal clock has got the dates mixed up thinking its a leap year showing 29th of feb when its the 1st of march.

So it is sony's fault. Quite and oversite infact when it comes to bios clocks.

Yes ok they fucked up the software, but a patch will sort it as its a human software writing error and not a hardware one.
