about this time last year i bought this cab shell which my mate was on about scrapping when the engine went tits up, it didnt look too bad so i had it as a cheap project to sort out while i finish my ka's, turned out it was worse than expected

ended up needing 2 wings, front panel, scuttle panel, battery tray, and a patch on the drivers side sill

then the whole thing needed painting as the bodywork was fooked so i did all that and painted it in the garage

started putting it all back together then and turbo'd it

then got a couple of months use out of it and loved it

then it all started to go wrong, it started having various problems so decided to ditch the mfi stuff and go for some different managment, was originaly going to use the efi stuff off 1 of my old ka's but went for gotech in the end and changed a few other bits while i was at it, turbo, hose's etc

got it running and jamsport mapped it in december, wouldnt do as much power as it should have though as the turbo was restricting it top end which pissed me off a bit but left it as it was as it was great on the road, power was all low down and it hardly had any lag at all.

then it went tits up again when the oil pump went on it between christmas and new year so out came the engine

while it was off the road yet again i did a few other bits with it, stud and nut conversion, new turbo, changed the exhaust, new cooler, led bulbs, got hold of a few breand new exterior parts which were a bit tatty on it, and wanted to paint the bonnet and drivers door again as i managed to dent the bonnet and wasnt overly happy with the door

put the door back on it yesterday and the door is a different fukin colour now

really fucked off with it now cus i'v spent the best part of a year on this thing and had about 4 months use out of it if that and nothing ever seems to go right with it.
the new engine for it will be here next week which is a 1600, forged pistons, steel rods, arp bolts throughout the bottom end, lightened and balanced bottom end, studded block, ported polished head, newman cam with solid lifters, then it'll have my stage 2 cossie t3 with new exhaust and downpipe, grs cooler, ap 4 paddle clutch, gotech mini x with 803's. the car itself is solid underneath and has got spax adjustables on it, front and rear strut braces, good 90 spec interior, 2wd cossie 4 pots, its all polybushed etc
had enough of it now, i said i'd never break it because of how long its had spent on it sorting it out but im really tempted now its fucked me off that much.

i would use quite a few of the bits on the red s2 yes johnny, mainly everything from under the bonnet and the managment. i'v already collected quite a few parts for the s2 though, havent done anything with it yet though because this cab has been nothing but trouble and im trying to get my silver ka finished sometime this year and see what sort it times it will do.

what pisses me off more is that if i hadnt been arsing around with this and spending money on this i could have had 1 of my ka's finished, but as it is they arent and this crock of shit still isnt right.
