The fuel pressure reg has an atmospheric take off, the tube with no hose. If you show this boost pressure it helps the car to run rich at the top end and leans out (slightly the bottom end). Mine has it.... helped a bit.

Pretty much yep, you can't really do it without messing about with the fuel pressure tho. Doing this on its own will just cause your car to run lead off boost and even richer than it probably already is on boost.

If you do this you can turn your fuel pressure down slightly. I have always thought a redesigned pressure regulator would be key to a really well set up MFI, ie not shit rich off boost etc.

See what they suggest mate. How did they modify the metering unit mate? didn't know the fuel ecu could be changed....

IIRC you can change a couple of resistors and it will increase the fuelling 'curve'.... dont know what you can do to the metering unit itself though other than set the EMFPA as normal.

Thats a shame, in theory it should be possible to alter the shape of the fuelling curve too not just its y position if you get me.... if after market management wasn't so cheap would be fun to give it a looking at. Pretty sure you cant 'modify' the metering unit either just wanted to hear the answer.
