Default spark plug 4 issues

hi guys, seem to have an issue with plug 4 on the car. When cold the plug is non existent and only seems to run on the other 3, but once warm it kicks back in. Any ideas on what may be causing this, its still running mfi. The injectors and plugs where checked and hopefully will be checking the metering head today. anyone had similar issues with thers? thanks

have you checked for damp in the dizzy?
also check rotor and cap, they may just need replacing, not expensive at all, about a tenner.

It is also classic of a dud plug, why not swap no 1 and 4 around and see if problem swaps also.

right, had an update, its piston 4 which drops , not the plug and the car gets very tappety, suspected issue with the tappets as the spark appears to be fine, could it be dodgy tappets failing when cold? Resulting in piston 4 not functionin until warm?
