This is what the wages were in f1 in 2009.

1. Kimi Raikkonen £27.35m
2. Lewis Hamilton £10.9m
3. Fernando Alonso £9.1m
4. Nico Rosberg £5.15m
5. Felipe Massa £4.85m
6. Jarno Trulli £3.95m
7. Sebastian Vettel £3.65m
8. Mark Webber £3.35m
9. Jenson Button £3.05m
10. Robert Kubica £2.75m
11. Heikki Kovalainen £2.1m
12. Nick Heidfeld £1.7m
13. Timo Glock £1.2m
14. Giancarlo Fisichella £0.9m
15. Sébastien Buemi £0.9m
16. Rubens Barrichello £600,000
17. Jaime Alguersuari £300,000
18. Vitantonio Liuzzi £0
19. Adrian Sutil £0
20. Romain Grosjean £0
21. Kazuki Nakajima £0

Does anyone know what they're getting in 2010 ???

i know a couple,

Lewis hamilton is the same £10.9 Million as hes in a 5 year contract.
Jenson Button is on 6 million.
Micheal shumacher is on 6 million

Anyone know any others ???

one more bit of trivia... Jenson Button was paid by honda 18.5 million a season before they folded, His wages then dropped to £3.5 million when Brawn bought them out. His wages dropped to less then 20% of what he was on the year before !!! christ !!!

I thought Button was getting 8million next year, Schuey on 7million and Hamilton on a lot more than both? Button was also on 8 million last year, not 18.5 I think.

they were the 'wages' that i posted, when they win a race they get a bonus which can bump up their 'earnings' for that year.

But didn't Brawn relaxed control of personal endorsement in exchange?

I'd guess he made almost the same amount in total.

I would have expected Barrichello to earn more than that tbh, he's got to be one of the best out there and can be relied on to produce solid performances, unlike, say Trulli who's a bit hit and miss really, along with a few others!

there have been drivers in F1 for years, that have paid to be there.

they have to bring their own money to the poorer teams.

Assuming it was intended as a sensible reply;

Doesn't mean they don't have a massive income, they just don't get paid by the team.

Raikkonen will still be a top earner in 2010 even though he's not racing. He had a Ferrari contract for 2010, so to get him out of it Ferrari has had to pay him out. Deal was that if he raced for another team, he'd only get €10m, if he didn't race in F1 he'd get €17m.

Yo - the bottom teams not ONLY don't pay their drivers, but require their drivers to ARRIVE with sponsorship of x million that they can give to the team.

So basically, they are paying for their drive.

They also will have earned when they worked in other lower formula's, the teams (the lower ones), just happen to be in a unique position where there is an excess of drivers, so can let the best of the 'rest' fight to get a seat in their car.

You should read up a bit more about how f1 works, as it is fascinating reading.

Cheers,
RW

Just to add that out of that sponsor money the driver brings to the team his wages are also paid by the sponsor,
Much the same goes on in bikes,
Danny Webb had to find £100k to get a top J+J 125motogp bike.
I hear Bradley Smith only gets win bonus from Aspar after paying for his ride,
Even MotoGP riders are having to pay, and thats the bike equivalent of F1.
