Right, I'm trying to upgrade my package online to the deal they have at the minute with the free sky+hd box when you take out the movies package, which is an extra £18 a month. Offer ends tomorrow so nothing like leaving it til the last minute!

If I click the offer, nothing seems to happen? I then manually add the movies package, then add the sky+hd box, but it then adds on £20.25 to the monthly price, which isn't right?

Then if I go on from there it says about registering for a new box, and sky will be in touch in the next few days to tell me when I can apply etc, what the fook? Why can't I just order it?

Is it just me that is having all these problems or is it really as difficult for me to give them more money than they make it out to be?

I would rather not spend my Sunday afternoon on the phone to one of our indian friends either, and if I do it online, I get a free month.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Rich

we just got sky in today and had the same when ordering online.. there is a bit where you can talk to someone from sky like an instant messenger..we bought new rather than upgrade but should be the same..look on the net for a discount code aswell, as we just got the full lot for £23 a month

Cheers, I rang them in the end, spoke to a rather camp scottish chap called Jason, better than 'David' from India though I guess!!

Got it all sorted with no fuss, although I think Jason was still a bit worse for wear after his Xmas drinks, so he may well have signed me up to god knows what

We recently upgraded to sky plus and had a right ballache doing it!

They messed us around to the point where we told them we were going to cancel everything (tv, phone and internet) and as if by magic they sorted it out!

there internet is a class above anything anyone else can offer, and i think they have something like 35% of the tv market as well now not bad considering you cant get it everywhere yet but there hoping to expand even more soon

I think we would all like that code. I've just priced it up at nearly £50/month. No wonder I've never subscribed.

I worked for sky a few years back, they will give existing customers nothing, the ad campaigns that you see are for the benefit of new customers,my only advice is to tell them you want to cancel and you will get something worthwhile to make you stay, few months free, free install, etc etc.

Well the free HD box offer was for new and existing customers. The 'friends & family' offer is only available to new customers, I'm sure that offer has closed now too but comes out every few months. I had 12 codes for free HD and install, 50% of subscription with free HD for 12 months but couldn't find anyone who didn't have it already.
